Note Number 7 Thoughts on War…

I’ve seen the films, I’ve read the books
I’ve looked at photos by the score
But nothing can come close, to the reality of war

I’ve tried to think, I’ve tried to feel
I’ve searched but cannot see
It is impossible for me to comprehend the total misery

I’ve said a prayer. I’ve said I care
I’ve thought of all those lost
But in truth I cannot justify the reward against the cost
